Just by stepping into Forty Hands, I begin to feel artsy and hip. The furniture, cool graffiti and the outdoor sitting area all adds up to the experience. The Big Bang was certainly filling with tons of ingredients, but the star of the day was the truffle fries! The tasty sticks of potatoes sprinkled with truffle oil were delicious and I couldn't stop eating the salty and tangy snack.
The ambience and character of the Book Cafe was really nice. Loved the fact that there were options of either sitting on the comfy sofas or on proper tables and chairs. The power outlets were a huge plus! Went at about 3 pm and I could sit, read and catch up on some work all the way till 7 without feeling pressurised to leave. Nice! Food looked really nice, though the taste was pretty normal. All in all, a really nice place to just chill.
Penny U has a really nice vibe, with interesting pieces of furniture that emphasise the hipster feel. I was initially surprised that I liked the Turkish eggs as there was something interesting dipping my sourdough bread in the mix of yogurt, eggs and spices. The peppermint chocolate was really rich and appropriate for the cool Christmas season. If only Penny U was in a larger space!
