The king prawn pasta here is absolutely divine! Giant, meaty prawns and the sauce is like a spicy Hokkien mee and Laksa combination. It also comes with egg floss. Must try!

Sandwiched between Stateland Cafe and Honeycomb at Bali Lane, & Why is a New York-themed deli brought to you by the guys behind I Am Cafe along Haji Lane. Halal-certified and Muslim-run, & Why serves coffee, sandwiches, salads, mocktails, and selected bakes. Go for their Lobster Mobster ($16.90) — lobster chunks tossed with chopped celery and mayo, topped with arugula on bread -- and their indulgent Choc Rocher Cheesecake. End your meal with one of their decadent non-alcoholic mocktails such as the Mad About Dolce ($6.90) — you'd swear it tastes like it contains Baileys!

Switch things up and check out this rooftop bar away from the town madness. The cocktail menu is kept fresh with new releases each week.

Suitable for sharing among three to four diners, this platter comes with 1) apple pie with yogurt sorbet and homemade honeycomb, 2) cheesecake with hazelnut lime liqueur, 3) chocolate mud cake (essentially a very rich brownie) with marshmallow, raspberry mayo and chestnut ice cream, and my favourite of the lot, 4) Pira grilled pineapple soaked in gula melaka, chilli and cinnamon, with toasted coconut shavings and coconut ice cream.

perfect for your meatosaurus date! At a more reasonable price point compared to Morton's (yum) and Ruth Chris (yuck), yet comparable (to Morton's) in service and quality. steaks are accompanied by 4 types of sauces (mushroom, red wine, peppercorn, au jus) and 4 types of mustard. sides are $12-14++. I liked the creamed spinach, sautéed onions and baked potato (HUGE, with a lovely chewy skin).
