bad migraine but need dinner so thought of skipping meat. i may just turn a vegetarian after this meatless broccoli falafel ($14) as well. tzatziki sauce and sweet cranberries totally worked for me here. so hearty so flavourful this #sammie, no single meat fucks were given. at all.

dry-aged beef has a remarkable depth of flavor, or so they say. this juicy-silly 250g grass-fed ribeye ($42.90) with a secret rub here at @pastajsg is also remarkable depth of flavor. it is HOWEVER not dry-aged. at all. .
when you dine at @pastajsg, self-taught chef john promises you dishes that are painstakingly organically prepared and an experience of partaking deep concentrated flavors (that my friend, is a brand that sets you different from competition). and is not just the mains only, the complimentary sides are equally laboriously prepared. think hours cooked sides of mushrooms and carrots that taste so earthly deep and garden sweet in flavors they are almost philosophical.

because my breakfast is better than yours. i guarantee you this is definitely not your typical kaya spread. is over-the-top, in-your-face, unshamelessly concentratedly rude but oh so fragrant af is like you had hectre of pandan leaves in that dollop spread. not coconut milk but coconut cream, heavy yolks only and sans the whites, @pastajsg is unapologetically saying this is your ultimate kaya toast. you know what, i don't think they are wrong. $6.50 for a toast but you will thank me later.

the germans make some quality egg noodles actually! specially imported to complete the whole german dining experience at @brotzeitsg, the noodles are tossed in a lightest creamy fragrant herb sauce and colorful medley of diced veg. all done so tamely so to introduce the real gem for this dish - fillet of barramundi skin-on seared to a crisp perfection ($32). this is the freshest you can get because @brotzeitsg source freshly from a sustainable local source. so cheers for supporting local produce and one hell of a good slice of fish.

already a decade of bringing germany closer to our shore, you probably know @brotzeitsg for its pork knuckle and beer. but this smashing 15 ingredients super salad may just be a game changer. hearty mix of avocado slices, blueberries, raspberries, mandarin oranges (ridiculously pulpy btw!), feta cheese and mixed nuts in lighest dressing guarantees you every individual flavor coming together in a mouthful. eat your greens now and you have my permission to partake the knuckle.

ice cream craving but we need not venture far; thai milk tea x salted caramel - just when you thought the ice cream was going to be too sweet for your taste, it turn out really fine and balanced, which is why is always enjoyable at beans & cream. chilly weather also means we can sit outside and enjoy ice cream sloooowly.
all that glitter is saffron gold - saffron risotto with sausages ($23) is an absolute enjoyment. you have the delicate flavor of saffron contrasting with savory homemade italian sausages. yellow-gold stained grains are perfectly cooked, but still al dente, so it was creamy yet with bite. @acquaefarinasg is relatively new at rail mail (just beside springleaf prata), but judging by the crowd, people are really seeking the classic italian cuisine. do check out the wines on the wall! buon appetito!
favourite things in life; burger, coffee and coconut water. at @montanasingapore, they mash-up the 2 liquids with chilled coffee in funnel over a coconut frozen sphere. game changer and refreshing af. #burpple
told you am a fanboy here right? always a healthier variant at @cedelesingapore. multigrains lean beef burger but not boring at all. patty is still juicy the way i like it and the sweet onion jam always hits home for me. don't forget to order a slice of their sea salt caramel tiramisu (available fresh every tuesday and thursday)
hole in the wall, little or no seats, serves pretty much just coffee, only single origin beans roasted in-house.. I HEART THIS PLACE ALREADY!
p.s surprisingly, a very balanced single origin beans that went very well with milk!
burger at a seafood joint because i like to live dangerously. someone once said ordering burger here seems counterintuitive at this seafood place, right @michmuses? haha. but really you dont say no to a good burger, especially like this one. .
that first knife in into the fatty juicy patty said it all. nicely charred exterior gave some resistance but beneath it just gave in at the very knife's touch, revealing that lucious pink on my medium rare angus chuck. and that slab of wettest portobello mushroom sitting on the patty was just love. me finishing the two buns was just pure testament to how good the brioche buns were.
TGIF, so eat burger. burger was definitely enjoyable with the wagyu beef patty being juicy the way i like it though the caramelised onion jam was tad stingy. the striploin steak ($28) on the other hand was tad disappointing - too heavy-handed on the salt and the medium was not well executed.
