This is the cheapest Hakata Ramen I've ever come across during a trip to Fukuoka, and it doesn't skimp on flavour! A basic bowl costs just ¥290 and includes slurpy noodles, negi, and cha shu in a rich savoury tonkotsu broth.

The service is impressively fast. You simply buy a meal ticket from the vending machine, which conveniently has English guidance. The marinated egg is an add-on at ¥150, and it’s well worth the extra cost.

Seating is open, so you might end up sharing a table with strangers, and condiments are shared among diners. After you’re done, make sure to return your own tray.

Overall, this local ramen spot had a fantastic combination of quality and affordability, making it a top choice for anyone craving a hearty basic bowl of Hakata Ramen at any time.
