Even before it opens at 11am, you’ll see a queue forming as people flock down to Gwangjang Market for these freshly-made doughnuts.
Kkwabaegi aka Twisted Doughnuts (KRW1,000), are usually made from wheat flour or glutinous rice flour which gives it a more chewy texture. Fried till golden brown before lightly coated in cinnamon sugar, it’s hard to stop at one.
Reminding me of the bustling night markets in Taiwan, but with its own unique Korean flair (ajummas shouting at you to sit at their stall, funky foods like live octopus, blood sausages, all the works of a pig); I love this place. Even the simple bindatteok (mung bean pancakes) are delicious. Try to avoid the restaurants at the side though, just stick to picking a stall manned by one of those aunties.
i need it boiling!
mouth was hot like mad and so was my ass! they warmed the seat to a more than a comfortable hot, it was literally cooking our ass!
Gimbap is a staple that is commonly found in Korea. Here one box (krw3000) from 마약김밥, that's also feature in Running Man~
Even though the locals prefer gimbap, I'm more inclined to Japanese sushi.
And they sells Soondae in almost every stores! 😍
