This was my first meal after landing in Hong Kong and it sure did leave an impression! The porridge was silky and flavourful, just a little white pepper to spice it up. It was the exact definition of comfort food for the cooling weather that day. The pork slices in the porridge were really tender and soft, nothing similar to the ones we had in Singapore. What’s your secret Hong Kong? 😂
These hand made and make-to-order Chee Chong funs are my favorite snack in Hong Kong. With those succulent shrimps and smooth texture of the hand pulled rolls, I couldn't stop eating.
Deemed by the locals as one of the best porridge shops in town, sells awesome Chee Chong fun, fried dough rolls and porridge with many different kinds of meats. My hotel booking failed and I had to ton overnight at the macdonald around the corner of this shop and became one of their first few customers that day. It was the best porridge I ever had. Ordered two bowls having totally different meats and both gave me new definitions of how porridge should taste like. It was both watery and sticky I had no idea how they controlled the cooking to that extent and it was an unforgettable meal.
