If you haven't figured out your Thai food vocabulary, remember: Moo, Pla, Gai, Ped (pork, fish, chicken, duck). 'Moo Tek Leaw' has been how I have been referring to this dish which sounds the same as '不得了' (which means fantastic)!
No matter how kiddish this dish may sound, you know you just can't miss out ordering a fish cake, prawn cake or crab cake. Outside of Japan, Thailand is the largest producer of fishcakes; and produces under many of the iconic Japanese brands. These fishcakes at Feuang Nara is succulent and fried just to perfection - dip into the sweet chili, they are good to be eaten on their own!
My preferred type of Tom Yam, more briny and tangy!
