Singapore Food Festival 2022: "Real Foodies Only"

Ready your tastebuds! The annual Singapore Food Festival is set to cook up a storm with a Festival Village and over 70 gastronomic experiences.

The 29th edition which will run from 24 August to 11 September 2022, will feature diverse culinary experiences with everything from chef collaborations and sustainable creations to spice-blending workshops and urban farm tours.

For the first time since the pandemic, the SFF will offer a sumptuous spread of in-person experiences, including a Festival Village and a special 9-course dinner, as well as an array of workshops, tours, and exclusive menus at partner restaurants.

Held at the Bayfront Event Space from 31 August to 11 September 2022, the Festival Village will bring together over 25 culinary and beverage brands who will be serving familiar favourites with an innovative twist.

Take for instance, Jelebu Dry Laksa’s signature dish topped with Boston lobster and tiger prawns, and The Goodburger Food Truck’s exclusive plant-based Golden Chilli Crab Burger, courtesy of Blue Lotus Eating House.

The newly-minted Michelin Bib Gourmand stall One Prawn & Co will also be collaborating with heritage brand Hock Lian Huat to present a thick, silky prawn bisque with shrimps, mussels and clams, alongside a ngoh hiang platter.

In addition to this, the Chef Arena situated within the grounds of the Festival Village will present a special 9-course dinner created by the top culinary masters featured in SFF 2022’s virtual masterclasses.

To complement this, a curated line-up of workshops will be available for foodies who are seeking more hands-on experiences! One of which is the Antealope Tea Appreciation and Tea Blending Workshop by Antealope (Sat and Sun, 3 & 4 Sep, 10 & 11 Sep 3.30pm - 4.30pm)—here, you’ll get to learn how to blend your personal tea with natural ingredients and various tea bases.

Other workshops to look out for are the Haengbok Cakeyo workshops which will allow you to DIY your very own bento cakes as well as build some creative ‘fatfatcarons.’

Foodies residing outside Singapore can also enjoy a taste of authentic local fare through SFF activations in select countries and virtual masterclasses. Festival-goers who are based here can check out the festival site for the full list of experiences and ticketing information.Â
