Loving Hut is a pretty gem tucked away in Joo Chiat for tasty local favourites turned vegan. Popular dishes include the coconut-y Nyonya Laksa Lemak ($9.90) with tons of mock prawns, fish cakes and tofu soaked in a spicy and creamy broth, and the Kampung Fried Rice Set ($10.90), smoky and rich with belacan, soy-prawn satay, and fragrant peanut sauce. Pita Bakery along Bali Lane is one of the vegan community's best-kept secrets, serving up halal-certified food like pita, hummus, baba ganoush, and falafel. Some people say it even resembles an actual Israeli falafel stand. Burppler Alicia loves the Tasting Platter ($25) for its soft and pillowy pitas. "Hummus, baba ganoush and tahini were all fragrant. Pickles were just the right amount of tartness."

Vegan burgers are hardly new in Singapore, but the ones from Love Handle Burgers are some of the most creative. Burpple Rui Yi, who ordered the Fillet-o-Fishless ($16.50) says "this vegan burger tasted so good! The cheese, fish fingers and cream complement each other really well. Or try the Vegan "Ramli" ($15), which has an eggless frittata, Impossible patty, and two types of sauces: garlic aioli and tangy BBQ.

With outlets in Orchard, Novena, South Beach and also far-flung Yishun, Real Food is a favourite haunt for vegetarians living in Singapore. While many of the restaurant's menu uses eggs, some dishes also have a vegan option, such as the Veggie Bagel Sandwich served with sweet potato fries, or Barley and Mushroom Burger. Burppler Megan Ong says the Fried Dumplings are always a must-order. "Good for sharing and doesn't feel as sinful for some reason!"

Think a Raw Crispy Lasagne ($22) with zucchini sheets, dehydrated cherry tomatoes, walnut "minced" meat, cashew cream cheese, and pesto, which Burppler Khaw Han Chung recommends "if you are out for some new things." He also likes the Mushroom Rice Bowl ($16), with triple mushrooms, tomatoes, eggplant, edamame, carrots and pineapples.

While the dishes here are 100% vegetarian, you can easily make them vegan without any additional cost by putting a simple tick in the order slip. Burppler Jason Ong ordered the Laksa Baked Pasta ($18.90) and Truffle Mushroom Pizza ($20.90) and "they were both really flavourful! The crispy thin crust, together with the earthy flavours really gave huge points to the dish." They also make vegan orh luak (oyster omelette) at this restaurant in flavours such as Sichuan mala and truffle.

Surely you've heard of this one? VeganBurg is the OG spot for vegan burgers made from 100% plant-based ingredients, farm-fresh greens, GMO-free patties, and gourmet sauces. Burppler TinyBel :D got the Beetroot Avocado ($11.90) and "it was so good! The texture of the patty is very meatish and doesn't taste like soy at all."
