Good For Groups
First on the list is Ong Shun seafood restaurant, which according to Burpplers, is where the Siakap cost less than a thousand ringgit, the Thai style seabass seen here is only RM22.50, and good enough for a group of 3. This Chinese style halal seafood restaurant is family-friendly and great for groups, so bring your friends and try their signature Beancurd (RM7.50), Marmite Chicken (RM23). Their seafood is sold according to market price and is reasonable, we recommend their Chilli Crabs and Thai style fish.

For Affordable And Fresh Seafood
Travel a little further all the way to Sedili and you’ll have to stop by the most popular seafood eatery in the state. This place is usually packed and there will be a waiting list, but it is worth it.
Squids, Prawns, Shovelnose Lobsters, fishes, and stingrays of varying sizes are on display for you to pick and choose. The ones that you picked will be deep-fried tempura style, to be enjoyed with their sambal kicap. As for pricing, a 1-foot long squid goes for RM12 a piece (cooking fee is included) and that is truly a bargain.

For Beautifully Plated Baramundi
This one is slightly a stretch because it’s not a seafood restaurant per se. It’s on this list because of the Barramundi (RM28) which is served with lemon sauce, mashed potatoes, and fried Kai Lan. Being a Cafe, you can be sure the platting is Instagram worthy, so you and your followers can enjoy this reasonably priced Siakap.

For Local Style Seafood
Here is Siakap 3 rasa (3 flavours: sweet, sour and salty), and be sure there won’t be a 4th “rasa” when you see the bill. Boss Corner serves 3 sets depending on the number of guests. The one in this picture, Set B (RM98) consists of 1 fish, 1 soup, 1 stuffed omelette, 1 fried vegetable dish and 10 pieces of tempura prawn, which sounds like a deal!
