The highly raved 𝐔𝐣𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 & 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐧 ($𝟑) undoubtedly lives up to the hype.
This screams good quality matcha, with a distinct bitter-sweet flavour profile, weighing heavier on the bitter side. Although almost all the elements were just matcha, there were still different nuances that thwarted a potential one-dimensional flavour; the contrasting textures and the smooth creaminess of the matcha filling complementing the crunchy matcha crumble on the top. The bread was airy, which was a good accompaniment to balance out the intense filling and toppings.

But, my biggest bread pet-peeve - the filling wasn’t very evenly dispersed. 😔 The chocolate sat in a corner, and I didn’t even notice it was there until I nearer the end of the bread. For the parts that I could taste it, it went really well with the matcha!
