The pastel-coloured walls and floral decor makes Rimba & Rusa seem like a perfect spot for brunch with the girls. It is, but even better, the cafe hides a few tables next to its small but private children's playarea (with a kitchen set!) upstairs. With the little ones playing chef in the corner, mums can catch up with the ladies here without a worry. Foodwise, the menu runs with a Middle Eastern twist for brunch and Western favourites later in the day. If you're here early, try the Shakshouka Baby (RM18) that sees poached eggs, chickpeas and greens baked in an appetising tomato-based sauce. We like the luscious Pulled Beef Mac & Cheese (RM22) — it's likely to be a winner in both mum's books and the kids'. The same goes for their Chicken & Mushroom Pizza (RM35) that's good to share between parent and child. Since the cafe's run by cupcake empire Wondermilk, it wouldn't hurt to have a second look at that cake counter.
Avg price per person: RM35
