Back wanting to go for the Pork Burger but got horribly sidetracked after looking at their specials for the day.

It's a really savoury dish here — I wouldn't deny that it could get a little heavy for some but I was certainly very fine with what was going on especially since my taste buds are a little on the heavy side. While the overall dish looks a little on the plain side, there is quite a bit of braised sauce at the bottom that goes around the rice pretty well. The slow cooked pork belly could admittedly be a little more tender and soft, though it's a little nitpicking on my part. Glad that they are able to get the Jasmine Rice sorted out proper ever since the time I got their Basil Minced Pork Rice — the rice was properly cooked this time round. Overall it's a pretty hearty dish that's not the usual cafe fare with the slight rawness in its presentation (which cuts out the pretentiousness; something I am actually quite fond of) at a decent price (this costs $10); the style of Necessary Provisions that I have gotten used to ever since they had started out.
