Compared to the way duck confit is served in Saveur, the Concetto version is surprisingly lighter, though I expected it (being Italian) to be heavier and heartier. That said, I really liked the addition of corn purée and a tangy mustard sauce to this dish, which balanced out the saltiness of the duck very nicely. The duck itself was fork tender, but its skin could do with a wee bit more crispness. There's also an option to add mushrooms/truffle mashed potatoes/vegetable stew/gnocchi at an additional charge to make this dish more filling, which I would recommend because I was still hungry after polishing off the entire duck leg. But for duck confit, I think this was still quite a steal at only $13.90++.
