A base of yamari jelly top with your choice of softserve (matcha, houjicha, twist), the pricetag here might put one off but it was certainly WORTH IT for me! Usually not a fan of jelly based desserts but this yamari jelly here just did a great job turning me into a convertπŸ‘πŸ». The green tea flavoured jelly cubes are served with 2 shiratama and red bean embedded within as well. Not a fan of red bean hence I omitted it, but the shiratama here surprisingly surpassed expectations, with its soft, slightly chewy texture, retaining an ideal moisture level that makes chewing less tedious. I have to admit that I m not big fan of shiratama and would usually stop at 1 or 2 at most but these was one that I wouldn’t mind having more πŸ’›. Moving on to the main highlight (apart from the softserve), the yamari jelly cubes were soft, wobbly with a smooth, light texture that was a delight to indulge in, especially when paired with the smooth and robust flavoured softserve! Thanks once again to the kind and friendly staff for providing the matcha crunch biscuit πŸ’š! As expected, the houjicha flavour overpowered the matcha one, with its roasted flavour and aroma stealing the limelight from the vegetal, umami counterpart. As one who prefers houjicha over matcha, this was actually a blessing in disguise for me πŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ’– .
