I've been here for lunch a few times and it's always been good. So don't ask me why it has taken me so long to visit this place in the evening but I finally got around to doing so very recently. These are the tapas that went down like a storm with us. Clockwise from top left....
1) Patata Bravas: Roasted potatoes served with a spicy tomato-chilli sauce and garlic aioli - a combination we found very addictive.
2) Eggplant with Haloumi and Chickpeas: We really liked how the firm, chewy and salty haloumi cheese was nicely complemented by the smokey sweetness of the grilled eggplant and baby tomatoes. The chickpeas also added body to this vegetarian dish.
3) BBQ Pork Ribs: Hands down, the tenderest ribs we have ever had. With a tiny nudge, the meat simply collapsed off the bone, complete with little bits of soft cartilage. The four pieces of ribs which were thickly coated in a tangy marinade, arrived on a bed of super smooth anise-scented mash, accompanied by pearly pickled onions.
4) Meatballs: Made of finely minced veal and pork, these were very soft and tender, almost too smooth in fact (a little more texture would be welcome). They were served on the same type of mash as the pork ribs but with the addition of some grated cheese.
