This is one of my favourite chendols! They pack the ice tightly, so you have to pick at the ice while eating it, but the benefit is that the ice stays solid a lot longer than other chendols, so you’re not left with a syrupy liquid mess.
I love their generous drizzle of gula melaka and coconut milk, and especially their homemade pandan jelly “worms”, which is soft and fragrant. I personally don’t really like red beans in general, but they use bigger beans here that taste slightly salty and it’s not bad! Makes the dessert not as sweet overall. This is at the Toa Payoh Lorong 8 hawker centre!
