The first long queue that I spotted at Zion Road FC was in front of Boon Tong Kee Kway Chap Braised Duck stall. Iā€™m not a big fan of kway chap so I ordered their šš«ššš¢š¬šžš šƒš®šœš¤ š‘š¢šœšž š’šžš šŒšžššš„, which consisted of braised duck rice with preserved vegetables, tau kwa and braised hard boil egg.
.
.
The presentation was really appealing, but I was quite disappointed with the taste. It was just overwhelmingly salty, from the rice, meat, preserved veggies, and soup.
.
.
If the rice were to be less salty, and the preserved vegetables more tangy, I think Iā€™d have enjoyed the dish better šŸ™‚ The chilli was nice btw!
