Mmmm... Pork...

A walk around Marine Parade Hawker Centre and you'll notice many old-school signboards, an indication of how many hawkers are still in business after all these years. One such stall is Kun Ji (Duck Rice, Duck Porridge, Roast Meat).

I've heard good things about the roasted pork here so I gave it a try. The shao rou is definitely succulent with that all important crackle of the skin. The char siew was tender and sweet. Overall, it isn't the best but it's so darn good. A simple plate of either char siew rice or shao rou rice is $3 but a combo of both is $4.
