With Chinese New Year just round the corner, various F&B establishments had since released their limited time-only menu in-line with the occasion. MOS Burger had just recently released their Fortune series which is launched in accordance to the festive season; this would include some limited time-only burgers such as that of the Chilli Crab Seafood Burger / Rice Burger, Black Pepper Seafood Burger / Rice Burger, as well as the Fortune Ebi Ball and Prawn with Mayo Dip. There is also the Fortune Chicken Box — the box coming with five (5) pieces of the New MOS Chicken that one would also be able to order ala-carte per piece or as a set option with their burgers on their regular menu.

The Fortune Ebi Balls look exactly like how they would be in real life when compared against how it was being illustrated in their marketing collateral. Those whom have been visiting Chinese restaurants and dim sum restaurants alike would probably find the Fortune Ebi Balls pretty similar to that of what some would call “Lychee Shrimp Ball” – perhaps being named so considering how they bear the aesthetic of the fruit rather than actually containing lychee in them. Giving the Fortune Ebi Balls at the MOS Burger outlet situated in the basement of Marina One, the Fortune Ebi Balls are pretty much free from grease; pretty well-fried we would say. Carrying a crisp exterior that somewhat carried a texture almost akin to Rice Krispies, the inside reveals a prawn paste filling that carries a bouncy bite with a slightly sweet note that is inherent from the use of prawns in the item. Overall, a pretty decent item to have and check out while it lasts.
