๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The claypot rice is a seasonal special which unfortunately is not available anymore (although I was told itโ€™s available till 17 May by the staff๐Ÿ˜…). It is served with huge, tender chicken chunks and a chicken wing, along with slices of lip cheong (Chinese sausage), salted fish and generous garnishes of spring onions. Would personally prefer if there was more wok hei flavour to this pot of rice and it lacks the characteristic crisp and slightly charred texture of a typical claypot rice. IMO it felt as though the rice had been cooked separately and just tossed into the claypot for the visuals ๐Ÿ˜…. Nevertheless, the other elements helped to enhance the flavour profile and were generous in portion indeed! Especially adore the well-braised tender chicken chunks smoky lup cheong that were certainly great accompaniment to the claypot rice. On the other hand, the prawn dumplings were deep fried to a perfect crisp, cracker-like exterior, filled with fresh, juicy prawns. Recommended to pair it along with the sweet Thai chilli sauce! .
