My mom and I visited this Singapore Coffee Museum to have our breakfast on 28 September 2022.

There were 3 staff near the cashier. While placing our order, my mom asked the staff beside the cashier whether they have mee siam.

The staff told us to look at the menu affixed to the wall. The area was dimly lit and my mom asked the question again. The same staff said something along the lines of, "Refer to the menu and order what you like." Meanwhile, the staff at the cashier looked on and listened to our conversation.

Let's assume for a moment that my mom is illiterate, so lighting is immaterial to my feedback. My mom then placed her order of Mee Siam with the cashier and the cashier finally said, "We do not have Mee Siam here." Why didn't she say this when asked repeatedly at first?

"I thought you said there is Mee Siam?" replied my mom to the staff who told her that.

"I DID NOT SAY THAT WE HAVE MEE SIAM, I told you to LOOK at the menu!" defended the staff.

At the same time, I was having a conversation with the cashier asking whether there were customers on the second floor. If there wasn't, I would not trouble them to open up the level just for us.

To my disbelief, the cashier said, "We (3 of them near the cashier) don't know because we are not in charge of the second floor. We are only in charge of the first floor."

I was speechless for a while. Why didn't you say that you will check and let me know? Is your Manager aware that this is your attitude?

I asked the same question again and explained my rationale. I did not get a response until after completing my order.

One of the three staff must have gone up to check. She came back and kindly told me that there were 2 other people upstairs.

Wow your staff are truly, unbelievably and extremely rude. I hope the Founder is aware of how your staff behave. It is unacceptable!
