Geylang Lor 29 Fried Hokkien Mee @ Joo Chiat. I used to call this Fried Prawn Noodle Dry instead 😅 until recently I got to learn that Hokkien Mee are just so various from place to place. Be it Penang Hokkien Mee, KL Hokkien Mee or SG Hokkien Mee, they’re totally different in terms of the way of cooking, noodles, colors, textures and flavors. Penang Hokkien Mee (Penang Prawn Noodle) is still rank no.1 on my preferred list and I’m starting to appreciate SG Hokkien Mee better these days. I’d prefer a less soggy and dryer version of SG Fried Hokkien Mee. This wasn’t too bad, love to see the old uncles (seem to be regular customers) were also enjoying makan there. 🦐🦐
