Juicy plump Cockles preboiled in a broth of Galangal, Ginger and Lemongrass to rid it of its fishy smell. Served steaming hot with Thai Chili Sauce. The sauce wasn't what I was accustomed to so I asked them for Soy Sauce Blended with Birdseye Chili and that was just the icing on the cake for this dish. Delish, simple, cheap good food just across the border.

I don't remember if I've ever had cockles.. Do the taste like ordinary clams?
Kit Montenegro nope...it doesnt...I think all shellfish has its own taste to it...be it clams...or cockles or oysters or conchs or whelks or escargots...but love em all still...comfort food I guess~
