You have to try it, pork lovers be warned. Each slice of the pork jowl has 50% or more fat which when grilled give it that extra crunchy bite. Yakiniku-Oh Geon uses black charcoal under the gridirons to bring out the charred flavour of the meat that comes with its delightful crisps – a practice that is not commonly seen nowadays. Served generously on Japanese rice with an onsen egg. Perhaps the only thing that can probably improve is that the pork does not seem to be marinated - some salt and pepper would do the trick. Love the miso soup and salad that comes with this set; which is packed with flavours.
