Headed down to probably the most iconic stall at the coffeeshop. We ordered the signature fried porridge($6) and the You Mai Cai($10). I barely finished taking a photo of the roast meat from the same coffee shop and we were served. It wasnt piping hot like most claypot dishes. My dad and I had the same thought when we dug into our first bite: "Ahma" as I fondly remember her. She's made us our first fried porridge and this was nothing like hers. Wasn't served hot, wasn't fragrant and definitely didn't surround our palettes with unami from the ingredients that were used. The vegetables was stir fry with sliced garlic and onion. Not impressive especially with the price we were charged. Something different if you haven't tried it but it will be difficult to convince us to head there again.
