Friend walked past and there was no queue so here's to finally tasting @joyluck.teahouse because Im a lazy bum + mixed reviews made me think twice about queueing 😂.

🌟 Egg tart (tart pastry) - there are two options and only tart pastry was left. It's really not back though.

Egg tarts are nicer when it's warm but in general, if you tabao, tart pastry is more likely to taste better than crust pastry I feel when it's cold. The filling itself is a good level of sweetness and very smooth jellyish texture while the tart, although it is tart, it does disintegrate and melt quite nicely in your mouth. It is still not as good as Tai Cheong but a good egg tart. Tai cheong's pastry is better (more buttery, more fragrant, maybe also more calories 😂)

🌟Pineapple Bun - there's not pineapple in pineapple buns FYI. Though most fans of HK food should know this lol. It didn't disintegrate badly - some buns tends to flake off excessively, and that makes it quite hard to eat. The texture on the outside is just right but inside could have been softer / more fragrant. It's alright. My personal preference is the pineapple bun at So Good Bakery at 111 Somerset.

🌟 HK Milk Tea - tasted more like yuanyang but it is quite authentic.

Food is decent but I wouldn't queue and based on the food we tried, I would go to other places if I miss HK food like Tai Cheong and So Good Bakery.
