The texture of the cake surprised me- it was kind of fibrous, like that of shredded coconuts (and i swear i taste coconut in this too?🤔) Was given another surprise upon discovering that there was also a thin layer of crunchy almond bits within the cake😹 Not taking into account that this should be a matcha cake, this was pretty good in terms of the balance of flavours and the play on textures!
