We were dragged to try Eng's Char Siew Wantan Mee in Katong and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we beat the dinner crowd by reaching the restaurant at around 6.30 pm! :) We thought their noodles were distinctive because they were thicker and not as springy as those used in most wanton Mee restaurants! The other distinct feature of their Wantan Mee is their chilli paste which is rumoured to be extremely spicy! It certainly is quite spicy but we think anyone who has a decent tolerance for chilli should be fine! :)

Char siew was a bit tough today and it would be great if the meat was a little more fatty as well. Overall, we felt that the plate of wanton Mee was above average but it certainly wasn't something to be wowed by!
