I looked at the gula Melaka syrup sprinkled all over and thot this must be super sweet. Amazingly, it wasn’t. This was a very dense, moist and fresh cake, with a strong gula Melaka taste. The desiccated coconut provided some chew, and intensified the coconutty flavor. One of the best gula Melaka cakes I have ever eaten.
