Checked out Kindred Folk, a new cafe situated at King Albert Park — the cafe layout is reminiscent to those at The Midtown with the counter situated at the first level while dine-in seats are located on the second level. The cafe primarily serves up ice-cream and other desserts (cakes and tarts), though also serves up pasta for those who are looking for something more substantial.

The Charcoal Waffle was crisp and light with just light hint of buttermilk fragrance. What actually was more intriguing was the Wasabi ice-cream; using a Vanilla base, the Wasabi ice-cream first exudes an aromatic sweetness before the punchy notes of numbing wasabi takes over subsequently — a flavour that is not exactly conventional and rather odd, yet grows on one even as a dessert for its well-balanced flavour as an ice-cream but also suited for wasabi lovers for its prominent wasabi flavour. Something meant for the brave ones who are willing to try something new that tickles the taste buds.
