Lunched at Fook Kin today. Ordered a small Char Siew Platter, a quarter of the Angelica Herb Sauce (Dang Gui) Roasted Duck and a bowl of minced pork noodle to go with all my proteins.

So this was my first time here. Didn’t quite know what to expect. Well, I was not disappointed...!! The caramelised char siew was tender, flavourful and had the right amount of fat and char. The dish came with some sauce - but I found it a little too sweet for me. As for the Dang Gui Roasted Duck, I would have loved a stronger Dang Gui flavour. But overall, it was still good. Meat was tender and it went well with the plum sauce. And finally, the noodles - springy and topped with a generous portion of minced pork. Although it tasted a little plain but what made it really nice was those crispy pork lard...and I guess with those flavours coming from the char siew and Dang Gui Roasted Duck, it was fine. Well, this is definitely a place worth revisiting...!!
