Apart from the usual hotpot items such as pork belly, black fungus, mushrooms, there was this particular item that caught my eye and since I was in an adventurous mood, I decided to give it a go. True to its name, the Dragonfruit Prawn Paste does look similar to the fruit, though it tastes nothing like it 😂 Scooping them up into small pieces, I delicately dropped them into the hotpot and let it boil for a bit. The resulting outcome was a pretty slimy and chewy prawn paste that had absorbed all of the mala essence. Pretty interesting!
