Rong Cheng has consistently upped the Bak Kut Teh scene by introducing groundbreaking elements like paving the way for a lighter + more peppery soup base & the use of Dragon Bones aka Loin Ribs!

Here over @ Bak Bak, emphasis is place on healthier eating hence the introduction of items like Sea Cucumber, Tofu & Brown Rice whilst omitting familiars like Liver, Intestine & Kidneys. Gems we'd today were many including the Chawanmushi with Homemade Crab Sauce ($4.5), Homemade Fried Prawn Roll aka Hei Zho ($11), Pork Rib Soup with Sea Cucumber ($17.5) & a finale of the silkest ever Homemand Beancurd ($1.2). Choice of drink is an interesting one too; the Iced Lychee Red Tea ($4.5) which is made using a special tea blend from Centurion Tea Merchant Pek Sin Choon & carbonated slightly.

More on the rest of the mains & sides later yah, meanwhile here's another collaborative shot between bros @Spadely & @YeastMonster featuring their Braised Pork Trotters ($8) that's slow-cooked for 2 hours in premium Dark + Light Soy Sauce with Star Anise, Cinamon Stick, Orange Peel, Cloves & a host of other spices!
