Jaedong Sundubu is one of the BEST restaurants in Korea that serves sundubu-jiggae, a traditional spicy tofu stew. They hand make their tofu and itโ€™s soft and fluffy like clouds. They serve it bubbling hot in a clay pot, and it stays warm all the way until you finish! The eatery was full of local Koreans when we visited and the stall owners couldnโ€™t speak a single word of Englishโ€”which is how you know youโ€™ve stumbled upon a real local hidden gem ๐Ÿ˜‰ It costs KRW8,000 (SGD$9.25) per set, but itโ€™s really value for money considering you get a whole pot of handmade tofu stew with seafood like prawn and squid inside, a bowl of steamed rice and a plethora of free flow side dishes like kimchi, egg roll, anchovies and more!
