This Salted Egg Yolk XXL Crispy Chicken Cutlet from @shihlinsnacks I bought at $5.20. A combo set pairs this with either the Taro Milk Blended or the Papaya Milk Blended, which come in reusable bottles. Starchy thick golden SEY was painted evenly on the huge cutlet. At first bite, it clearly tends to the sweeter renditions of the sauce. It’s neither buttery as advertised, nor does it have SEY flavour. Plainly put, it was just a rather sweet snack for the first part. My interest would’ve plateaued out with the flat taste but as my tongue accustomed to the sauce, the chicken, which remains as fragrant as you would remember, comes through. What it gives, really, is the Shihlin experience of crispy chicken cutlet you came for, with a sweet coat instead of the usual salty that doesn’t render the batter soggy. Not that I wouldn't go for it again but it wouldn't be for no SEY cravings.
