Yishun seems to be a neighbourhood that is filled with plenty of gelato and ice-cream parlours — the area is home to establishments such as Holy Cow Creamery, No Horse Run Gelato and Moin Moin Gelato amongst many others. Located fairly close to Khatib Camp, Frosty Bunny is the latest addition to the neighbourhood at Blk 717 Yishun Street 71. Decked in a pastel pink colour theme, the interior is best described to be whimsical; the wall behind the counter interestingly sporting a wallpaper with castles on clouds — something that seems particularly fairytale-like. Whilst Frosty Bunny is primarily a ice-cream parlour, their menu does feature a limited variety of hot food as well — this includes a range of 12-inch pizzas, as well as Drumlets to share around the table. Patrons have the choice to opt for waffles to go along with their ice-cream — choices of beverages include specialty coffee, tea and chocolate as well.
Skimming through the variety of flavours that they have to offer, there were quite a few flavours that caught our attention — this includes a Blue Milk that vaguely reminds us of what Apiary offers, though there wasn’t a description of what the flavour comprises of at Frosty Bunny. We found ourselves eventually settling for the Hokkaido Strawberry ice-cream; a flavour that emphasises on the zippy, tangy notes of strawberry, this was a flavour that was actually refreshing considering how it is not overly sweet and creamy — we also really liked how there were bits of strawberry seeds to chew on for this one for some texture as well.
Hadn’t really tried enough from Frosty Bunny to come to an accurate conclusion of things — we only managed to try their ice-cream considering how we have had our dinner at the coffeeshop nearby prior to dropping by. That being said, we do feel that Frosty Bunny does seem like a pretty chill ice-cream parlour for folks residing in the area to drop by catch-up with friends or a treat for the children for young families — a spot that residents in the area would likely appreciate having to their convenience.
