Squid Ink Spaghetti & Clams: Another dish they got it absolutely right. The squid ink was infused in the pasta itself (and not the sauce) which we understood was flown in fresh from Italy. This allowed the flavour of the squid ink to be more deeply infused into the dish. Also great for those who fear getting “black mouth” as there’s no black sauce. The star of the dish was the crispy crumble on top, which was a medley of garlic, bread crumbs and other ingredients that were made in-house. 9/10 - an unassuming dish but packed full of umami!
We got this dish as the owner recommended us to try a pasta along with the pizza. It was a great suggestion as my friend and I would have been too full with two full-sized pizzas at lunchtime! This is their best-selling pasta and it is definitely a must-try.
Super happy I found this place! Enjoyed my meal so much and would go back again to try the other dishes. Don’t dismiss it even though it’s not as popular as other Italian restaurants like LINO or La Nonna (yet) 😋
Note: It gets busier towards late afternoon & closer to dinnertime so recommend to go in the early afternoon!
