Chicken Inasal

This chargrilled chicken is one of the best tasting chicken the Philippines has. Marinated with coconut vinegar, garlic, lemongrass and ginger, then chargrilled and basted with lemon butter and annatto seed makes this a truly delicious (and orange) chicken.

This one we ordered at Karilagan in South San Francisco was a bit too chargrilled for my taste. I remember back in the Philippines I would always frequent restaurants that pride themselves to dish out the best chicken inasal in the country! Perfectly grilled and tender chicken meat with soy sauce and chili dipping sauce makes it such a blessing to eat!
