While I am a huge fan of Matcha, I also really love the 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞 (𝐒𝐆𝐃$𝟖.𝟖𝟎++) at Hvala - once again, I’m super picky about my black sesame desserts 🤭 They are one of the hardest to perfect imo, and can be quite tasteless/bitter if not done well. Also... if they aren’t made with pure black sesame paste, then it’s a bit dodge la ok guys... and for me, I can definitely taste whether they are made with paste or powder!! But Hvala makes their cakes with paste so the aroma is STRONG and definitely present 😋

Other items on the menu that I’ve tried include 𝐇𝐨𝐣𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐮 (𝐒𝐆𝐃$𝟖.𝟖𝟎++) and 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚-𝐇𝐨𝐣𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞 (𝐒𝐆𝐃$𝟓.𝟖𝟎++)! Personally, I prefer matcha over hojicha, but its still an amazing cake nonetheless! On the other hand, I find the tea lattes a tad too sweet for my preference - so I probably wouldn’t order it unless its for sharing!
