An attempt at fusion Yusheng gone wrong. The ease of picking at and eating Yusheng shreds of vegetables have been taken away and replaced with large lettuce and spinach leaves with slices of bell peppers too. The one dish I usually look forward to during CNY feasts didn't live up to expectations. The only parts I enjoyed were the spring roll skin crisps (replaces the usual Yusheng crackers) tobiko and sauce which had a tangy citrus note and not super sweet so we kept adding more to the dish. This dish also included sliced purple cabbage and ikura which I feel didn't add much to the dish. If you're looking for a nice traditional Yusheng, this is not for you. But if you want a salad with the addition of salmon sashimi and tangy-sweet sauce… you should enjoy this.
