NEWLY launched on 24th October, this flavour features an intensified, bolder Matcha - for the hardcore matchaholics and definitely not for the faint hearted! ⚠️ With only one tub available, it’s on a while stocks last, first come first serve basis with no sampling allowed. Being a diehard hardcore matcha lover, it was my natural instinct to do myself a flavour by going big or going home- get it or leave it! Made using matcha powder sourced directly from Japan, the flavour here was - as the name suggest, much more intense and robust as compared to their previous versions in collaboration with Matchaya & Hvala. The prominent earthy, umami flavour came with a lingering bitter undertone, a distinct albeit mellow tinge of astringency. Flavour wise, though intense, it was still acceptable for me and I wouldn’t mind even a higher intensity! 🤭 Still not yet on par with Tsujiri honten or Japan’s level 7 matcha gelato though! Texture wise, this was rather thick, dense and creamy, one that’s more lasting to the palate but requires more labour when consuming (good way to exercise ur hand muscles 😅). Pretty pricey at $6 for a scoop but if you are one who appreciates Matcha a lot, it will still be a wiser option to get this instead of the regular Matcha. Unfortunately, this flavour has been sold out as of today, 25th October .
