Delicious but I wouldnโ€™t queue for it.
We decided to takeaway and was pleasantly ushered straight in, to the ordering counter. (It was 4pm on a Monday and there were about 3 groups in line waiting to dine in)
We werenโ€™t informed, but wait time for food was approximately 30minutes. All things considered that opening day was just less than a week ago, we thought their systems were well in place and the team handled the crowds with ease.
We loved the Duck Fat Truffle Hashbrows ($4.50) wish there was more truffle, it was an excellently savoury morsel which went well with the Elderflower & Lemon Craft Soda ($4.5). This soda is a dream to me and I think all lemonades should taste like this: extra tangy, flavourful, yet conservative with the sugar.
Between the two sandwiches we ordered, I much preferred the Fairfax Sandwich ($12) scrambles, caramelized onion, cheddar and sriracha mayo. The buns were so soft and fluffy. Might consider adding a beef patty next time.
The kitchens were massive and itโ€™s a joy to see it kept clean and pristine despite the number of people hustling around.
Will be back when thereโ€™s no line out the door!
