Salt & Delight is a rather new cake shop that is situated up at Yio Chu Kang Road — it's just further up from The Ding Ding Man which is a manageable walk away from Sunday Market.

The only cake available for the day, the Matcha Mandarin Cake features matcha mousse, matcha cake and a layer of mandarin gel within. The Matcha starts off pretty light but builds up, especially towards the end, though the Mandarin does seem to overwhelm the matcha quite a bit — matcha lovers might find it a little light for their liking overall. That being said, the execution is pretty decent considering the smooth mousse, the bouncy gel and the moist cake makes it a textural delight to have. Has quite a bit of potential if they would be able to find the right balance of flavours.
