Finally, I tried the mee hoon kueh at Greenview Cafe at Far East Plaza. Instead of the traditional signature minced pork version, I had the Sliced Pork Mee Hoon Kueh. đđģI like how the lean slices of pork were as thick and big as the irregular hand-torn mee hoon kueh. Doused in the savoury zhup and accompanied with braised mushroom and crispy ikan bilis, it was no surprise how easily I can clean the bowl within minutes.
At Greenview Cafe, be prepared to be spoilt for choices as they offer so many variations of mee hoon kueh, including mala! đ¤ If you love char kway teow, try the Wok Hei Mee Hoon Kueh. True to its name, it was full of wok hei!
The signature sides are must-tries - Fried Prawn Fritters and especially the moreish Fried Glutinous Rice Cake that was layered with sweet potato, orh nee and nian gao. đ I can see myself tabao-ing dozen of these and air frying them at home.
