It was a very underwhelming meal with subpar standard compared to it’s classy ambience. The $2.90 buttery rice was stale (hard rice grains and chunky) and the sambal brinjal was very bland (no taste other than spicy) and horrifyingly drenched in oil. Only the Nonya chap chai was decent but it also left us thirsty and we suspect it might be MSG-filled. We had Peranakan food at different places and this place really do not make the cut. Overall a disappointing experience.
