Was scrolling through pictures and saw Braseiro's Garlic Cheese bread and knew that I had to try it. While braseiro's normal garlic bread markets at $8.90, one would have to top up $2 to have it slathered with melted cheese. Although I was pretty excited for it, I personally thought this was just decent. I expected the bread to be more on the toasty side but it was slightly softer than expected. With the melted cheese, it unfortunately overwhelmed the garlic flavour which I was hoping would still be the main flavour of the bread. Cheese and garlic would always still be a welcome combination for me, but I would think the cheese to be more melty and milder on the surface. Braisero's melted cheese bread however, had cheese that was more stringy and chewy that masked the whole surface of the bread. I do think that this is a matter of personal preference and that I do have a certain idea about what my garlic cheese bread to be — melty, flowy cheese with a huge oomph of garlic flavour, but what Braseiro delivered was not what I was looking for. Then again, as I have mentioned, it was still a decent basket of Garlic cheese bread, and it really depends on how you'd like them.
