Market Stall: Crumb de la Créme
Arguably the second sweetest thing I’ve tasted (literally) in London; these homemade baked goods were otherwise a treat. The fudge like brownie was a clear favourite- the envisioned richness and smoothness from chocolatey fudge materialised on your palate. I’d recommend the peanut butter brownie that has a slight saltiness from peanut butter to balance the indulgent chocolatey sweetness.
As for the Victorian sponge named after Queen Victoria for she loved these sponge cake with a layer of jam and/without cream very dearly. The sponge was too grainy while cream and jam were saccharine.
