Thanks to @wilyang and @yangsueann, I get to have a piece of Zumbo's magic!

His cronut beats all others I've tried, the exterior crisp and flaky; the layers of pastry buttery, soft and just very slightly elastic. This carrot cake interpretation is also clever – the sweetness of the cinnamon sugar, icing sugar, frosted walnuts and spiced carrot cake sponge is balanced out with a surprise core of lemon cream cheese. Took every ounce of willpower in me to save half for @titusaurus.
