After my tze char meal at west coast , I turned on my dessert feelers .
And boy ! I was in for more than I asked for.
If the set of up of the cafe doesn’t invite you - I don’t know what will. I honestly haven’t seen a cafe set up so homely - I could sit in there for hours .
Mr Tom Yam ( no punt - that’s his name ) really meant it when he says he serves the best waffles . I have tried enough waffles to know what is a winner .
These waffles were crisp on the outside and chewy and moist on the inside and best of all , had that’s eggy waft without being greasy like most I have had in other places . The waffles here are homemade with no less than 10 ingredients and are not sweetened.
I paired the waffles with soursop and black sesame ice cream - both were so rich and good with natural goodness and the sweetness level was perfect ( perfectly not so sweet ). I like how each ice cream here at ice cream frenzy is given a character and a life - it’s not just same base and then with different ingredients blended in .
And yes - this is makan lost and found - I finally recalled why ice cream frenzy sounds so familiar - I once had their ice cream at Bukit Timah hawker and had fond memories but they closed shortly .
So Glad that we are reunited now .
